Ingredients
  

Ingredients for Preparing the Chicken

  • 16 ounces  Boneless chicken breast
  • 1/4 Small peeled type onion
  • 8 to 10 Whole black peppercorns
  • 1 Half sliced lemon 
  • 1 Handful fresh parsley
  • A large garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 1/4 Teaspoon salt
  • Water to cover the chicken

Other Ingredients for Chicken broccoli salad

  • ¾ pounds Shredded cheese
  • 4 ounces Chopped red onion
  • 2 ounces Sunflower seeds
  • 4   ounces Marietta dressing
  • 8 ounces Mayonnaise
  • 2 ounce Cooked bacon
  • ½ Pound Broccoli (flower-shaped)
  • 1 ounce Vinegar
  • 2 ounces Apple cider vinegar
  • Pepper: As you needed
  • Salt: As you needed
  • 8 ounce Walnut
  • 2 ounces White sugar

Instructions for Preparing the boiled chicken

  • First, let your chicken breasts come to room temperature for about half an hour. Next, gently pound them until they are as uniform as possible. 
  • In the meantime, gather all the ingredients you’ll need for the poaching liquid. By that, I mean cutting the onion, slicing the lemons and crushing the garlic.
  • Using a large pot add several cups of water, mix the salt into it and then add the chicken breasts in a single layer, do not stack up against one on top of the other.
  • After steaming, mix in the rest of the ingredients and more water until the breast meat is covered by 1 inch.
  • Place the pot on the heat and let the contents come to a simmer by shaking the pan periodically.
  • Then reduce the heat to low and gently simmer the chicken for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • The last step is to empty the chicken from the poaching liquid, letting it cool completely before using it.

  • Start by adding broccoli, chicken, walnuts, sunflower seeds, and onions in a bowl.
  • Now, put all mayonnaise, Marietta, sugar, and vinegar in another bowl and then start mixing them until blended. It’s essential to ensure that all items are entirely mixed to get the right amount of flavour. 
  • Pour your dressing over the broccoli; after that, cover the entire meal and set it in the refrigerator until chilled.
  • When it’s cold, you can add any quantity of salt and pepper to your liking.
  • At this point, you need to add bacon and cheese to your salad if you want.
