- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon bourbon (optional)
- 3 cups chopped pecans
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Brownie
- Start by melting some butter in a saucepan until it’s completely melted and starting to splatter.
- Turn off the heat and immediately add your chocolate chips to the melted butter. If there are any leftover chocolate chips, put them in a separate bowl.
- Stir the chocolate chips in the butter with a wooden spoon or spatula to ensure they are coated with butter. Set it aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, salt, vanilla, and four eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Check on the melted chocolate and give it a good stir to make it smooth.
- Add the melted chocolate to the sugar mixture and whisk until well combined.
- Sift in the flour and cocoa powder into the mixture. Whisk gently until all the dry ingredients are moistened.
